claims management educational seminars
ECA offers a number of educational seminars to promote proactive Workers’ Compensation claims management within the industry. The seminars will enable employers of insured, self-insured or self-administered programs, captive owners, insurance agents, claims adjusters, and those in other disciplines to better understand how Workers’ Compensation claims should be managed. The major goal is to aggressively manage both compensable and disputed claims in an appropriate manner that will result in mitigating the ultimate expense/exposure.
We believe that Claims Adjusters would find the educational seminars helpful in re-visiting “industry best practices” and reinforce their fiduciary responsibility to their (carrier/TPA/Self-Administered/Captive) employer.
Each seminar has been developed and based on ECA’s more than 100 years of accumulated experience and expertise in the areas of overall Workers’ Compensation Administration, Underwriting, Risk Management, and Claims Management.

Hands-On Application
Each seminar enables the attendees’ to walk through the various activities of the recommended claims management process. After the seminar presentation and discussion, the attendees will meet in small groups to review a portion of an “actual claim” reflective of the seminar’s content. The group will review the claim’s documentation and then outline key issues they recognized. This exercise gives the attendees an opportunity to apply the presentation to a real claim situation. Each group will present its findings after which the Presenter will close the session with final comments.
